Grand Core Physiotherapy strives to provide a safe environment for all staff, patients, and visitors.

As of June 11, 2022, the remaining provincial masking requirements are lifted.
This includes all health care settings, except for long-term care and retirement homes.
Our policies & procedures have been updated based on the most recent guidance from the Ministry of Health and Chief Medical Officer of Health.
It is important to note that clinic policies are subject to change in consideration of rates of infection within the community, the vulnerability of populations attending the setting, risks associated with the care environment, and other relevant factors.

POLICIES & PROCEDURES WE HAVE IN PLACE:

Symptom Screening: Upon entry into the clinic, all individuals (staff, patients, visitors) are to undergo a Point-of-Care Risk Assessment. This will determine appropriate PPE and plan of care for the appointment.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Masks are recommended to be worn within treatment rooms. If an individual presents with any symptom indications on their Point-of-Care Risk Assessment and chooses to attend their appointment, they will be required to wear a mask provided to them by the clinic. Masks are available for patients/visitors if needed. Staff use the appropriate PPE specific to interaction risk, according to Ministry of Health guidelines.

Air Purifier Units (3): Located throughout the clinic to assist in improving air quality.

Physical Distancing: Patients are treated in individual rooms. Waiting room chairs are spaced 6ft apart. Patients may also be asked to wait in their car until their appointment time. Additionally, patients are scheduled accordingly to encourage physical distancing.

Routine Hand Hygiene: Our staff implements strict hand hygiene practices throughout their time in clinic and patient interaction. Hand hygiene practices are in accordance with Clinic Policy and Procedure and Government Guidelines. Multiple hand hygiene stations are available for all individuals within the clinic, including alcohol-based-hand-rub dispensers as well as sinks with soap & water access.

Environmental Cleaning: Regular cleaning with hospital-grade cleaner after every patient appointment and interaction; throughout day to commonly touched surfaces; end of day clinic cleaning. Additionally, patients are scheduled accordingly to allow for proper room turn-over/cleaning time.

Signage: Signage is posted throughout clinic referencing COVID safety information/symptom screening, masking policy, hand hygiene instructions.
